Hello everyone, and welcome back to the official Gem Steady blog! Now that the holidays are over, it is time to start thinking about the exciting promise of fresh spring fashion. We decided to pair our favorite spring trends with some of our most luxe pieces to date! Enjoy...

TREND 1. HAUTE HIPPY- Designers such as Valentino, Etro, Emilio Pucci, and Gucci showcased '70's inspired pieces with trippy patterns, and billowy fabrics. This trend is a must have for music festival fans! We chose to pair this jaw-dropping Valentino tiered dress with our favorite citrine and garnet cocktail ring. The colors in the ring are saturated and surprisingly neutral, and they pair perfectly with the earthy and vibrant hues of this gauzy Valentino number.

TREND 2. MINIMAL SPORT- The sporty-chic trend has been gracing the runways for a few seasons now, and pairing sleek sneakers with a flirty dress has become somewhat of a necessity. Designers showcased a toned down version of this trend for spring, and the result is super wearable! We love this graphic silk skirt with a thin-knit gray sweater layered over the top by Tory Burch. Pair the look with some classic white sneakers and you have yourself an effortless sports-inspired ensemble. We chose to play off of the graphic print and cool hues of the silk skirt for our jewelry pairing. We chose an abstract necklace crafted with tourmalinated quartz, tanzanite, and black spinel. This look is perfect for a lunch date with the girls, or a casual day at the office.

TREND 3. CLEAN & CRISP- Spring 2015 fashion had a serious detox, and many designers chose to scale back on the over-the-top factors that we associate with couture. Clean lines, and timeless shapes dominated the catwalk. We love the slinky white-jersey dress by Balenciaga that glides perfectly over the body. A dress like this never goes out of style, and there are countless ways to spice it up! We added a serious dose of color with our glorious drop earrings, featuring pink topaz, citrine, and kyanite gems. Add a leather rope-style belt, and some golden heels and you are set for a glamourous date night!
